Broken Record...

I seem to be repeating the phrase, "I haven't been very diligent in keeping up with my blog lately..."

Basically I suck at this whole blog thing....stupid broken record. I really am not very diligent to keep up with it and 90,000 things end up happening between my posts. It's the same with my own personal journal; I sound like a broken record there too.

So in a very short concise post, I will attempt to describe our lives since August.

1. I began my last semester of CFNI.

2. Jonathan began his new job with a security company doing sales and marketing in the DFW area in September. He is really enjoying it so far and is making great progress in building his clientele and selling the security products.

3. Over the Summer, my gynecologist discovered that I have a cyst on my right ovary during a routine exam. After further examination and tests, I was told that it is benign with only a 2% chance of becoming malignant, but on the off-chance that it changes or grows, I have to have surgery. Unfortunately, if I do have surgery, I will lose my entire ovary because of the size and location of the cyst. So we're just hoping and praying that nothing changes.

4. Jonathan and I have celebrated our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th "month-iversaries" and we are currently working on our 6th. We plan to celebrate a few more before we're done.

5. After months of looking and applying for work, I finally have a job. I'll be working at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Dallas at the front desk. I'm so grateful that I was finally able to get a job. I start this next Tuesday, the 14th.

6. My nephew, Austin Axl, is continuously growing and is basically huge now. Putting all bias aside, he is by far the cutest baby alive ever, both in the past, present, and forever ever. I swear, they feed him Miracle Grow or something because he's already basically in 9 year old's clothing by now.

7. As of November 22nd, I officially became a registered student of Dallas Baptist University and will begin classes to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Political Science in January of this next year. Because of the credits I am receiving from CFNI, I am entering DBU as a junior and will be able to complete my bachelor's degree quickly.

8. Finals are officially over at CFNI and now I am in the home-stretch of being completely done with Bible school. It was a bittersweet moment when I completed my last final. I guess I'm a sentimental person when it comes to things like this. I remember things like, the last time I'm in a classroom, or the last chapel service that I will participate in, or the last Christmas before graduating. I think you get my point. I get this over-whelming sense of nostalgia that makes me stand back and think about what has happened. Graduation is on Friday and that will end my time as a student at CFNI for good. Graduation was today and I couldn't help but be excited about what is coming next. I call DBU "big kid school", just because CFNI was so easy academically that I felt like it wasn't school at all sometimes.

9. This was our first Thanksgiving as a married couple and we had a good time. We were able to spend good quality time with both of our families and friends and just enjoy each other's company. I was definitely worried about how hard it would be, seeing as how this is the first really big holiday without dad. I thought about him a lot, but it was still just as joyful as it would have been with him being present. I guess it's hard to explain unless you've been there personally. It wasn't until I dropped the green bean casserole all over the kitchen floor that I cried about it, but that's a whole 'nother story. It's actually kind of funny.

I believe that that is all that has happened in the last few months, at least major things. Hopefully I will be able to be more diligent to keep y'all updated. I guess we'll just have to wait and see now won't we.....or will the broken record continue to play? :)
